The Art Group summer trip was a working one. We travelled to the Bleddfa Art Center near Knighton and had a wonderful day. In the morning Ann gave a demonstration of how to use three water colours and some very interesting materials and techniques to produce dramatic wave pictures. It was great fun having a go and working so freely.
Lunch was provided in the main gallery building. A new exhibition was on display featuring an eclectic group of artists exhibiting, drawings, paintings, print-making ceramics and sculptures. Imaginative and amusing, reality, fantasy and abstraction there really was something for everyone in the gallery and grounds, it was hard to tear ourselves away for lunch which was excellent, good food, good value, good company.
In the afternoon the sun shone and everyone found a quite spot to draw or paint inspired by the 13th Century Church and the magnificent tranquil landscape.
