Meetings for 2018

The themes chosen for the forthcoming months are:

January: “How to ………” We will also choose the Dictionary Words for next month and Sue T will kick off our new concept of a story with a running theme which we will take turns in writing on a continuum.

February: A piece incorporating the Dictionary Words in the order that they were chosen (Word count 500 to 1000)

March: Inheritance Tracks

April: Story based around road map place names

May 8th: The Bird Table

June 12th: The Letter (we are having a Summer Lunch after this meeting)

July 10th: 24 Hours in the Life of: (all to bring a favourite object for Aug.theme)

August: No Meeting

Sept 11th: Story based on object

Oct 9th: Conversation between two people

Nov 13th: Conception and Misconception

International Happiness Day Event

On March 20th, International Happiness Day, Penny (Writers), Barbara and Jane (Singing for Fun) and Berwyn, Recorders jointly organised an entertaining afternoon for members. The Programme consisted of Storytelling, where writers and two guest readers read their work, interspersed with specially chosen music to complement the themes by the members of Singing for Fun and the Recorder Group.

The stories and music were wide ranging and enjoyed by an enthusiastic audience who also enjoyed refreshments provided in the interval.
