Llandrindod U3A Interest Groups
Face to face Interest Group meetings are currently suspended due to the COVID-19 crisis.
Please contact the group leaders to see what activities are continuing through phone, online or other means.
One of the main benefits of joining the U3A is the opportunity to participate in our special Interest Groups.
We have a wide variety of interest groups running very successfully - you can use the menu on the left hand side of this page to find out more about each one.
You must be a U3A member in order to take part in our interest group activities. This is essential to ensure that your partcipation in our activities is covered by the U3A's insurance.
If you would like to join an Interest Group please contact the relevant Group Leader whose details you will find on each group's page. You can also enquire about a particular group using the interest group enquiry form
If you have an idea for a new group, please contact the Interest Groups Co-ordinator Stephen Ashley: steve@u3a-llandrindod.org.uk or contact us using our Web Enquiry form
Transport arrangements
Some Group activities include transport by coach.
When transport for a Group activity is done by private cars, all passengers should contribute towards the cost of petrol according to the current U3A recommended mileage rate which is currently 30p per mile.
To calculate the cost per person:
Number of miles travelled (don't forget to allow for the return journey!)
Multiply by 30p
Divide by number of people in car (i.e. passengers AND driver)
Laptop and Projector
If your group would like to make use of the U3A's laptop & projector, please contact Jane Malvern.
The laptop runs on Windows 10 and has the complete suite of Microsoft Office 2010 installed. The laptop has a CD/DVD player, so could be used for showing films, and a separate speaker is also available.
